SMMHS MISSION
Signal Mountain Middle/High School strives to develop socially responsible and engaged scholars who will positively impact their community, country, and world.

A new program is coming to Signal Mountain Middle School (SMMS) this fall. Introducing . . . SMX . . . Signal Mountain eXtras!! SMX is an eXtracurricular program open to any 6th-8th grade student enrolled at SMMS. The program will operate every day that school is in session providing eXtra activities that students may attend from 2:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. 
Students will receive tutoring and assistance with homework starting at 2:15 p.m. before the eXtra activities begin each day. Multiple eXtracurricular activities will meet daily beginning at 4:00 p.m. Students who participate in middle school sports programs after school are welcome to attend SMX before or after their daily practice.
The eXtracurricular activities will include the following with other opportunities to be added:
Art Classes
Intramurals
Yoga
Book and Journalism Clubs
Wikis
Rocketry
Mountain Biking
Tutoring
Field trips & more

Then you need the SMMHS Music Boosters Fast Pass!! $15.00 gets you in the right lane into the school where you'll simply slow down to show off your hang tag, and you're in the front gate and onto a great evening of FOOTBALL!!! Let the others sit in line and wait to pay while you pass them by! The passes may be purchased in the school office from Mrs. Nixon (exact change or check please), or contact Shannon DeFriese at
