New Theatre Arts Department! |
Please join us in welcoming John F Lennon, our Theatre Arts teacher. Mr. Lennon has been teaching theater and coaching wrestling for the past fifteen years, 10 of which were spent at Notre Dame High School where he received the Heart of Notre Dame award in 2004. He is the son of Patrick J. Lennon and the late Lydia F. Lennon and one of seven brothers and sisters. He is a member of St Therese Catholic Church in Cleveland TN.
A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Theatre and minors in English and Psychology, John has taught four Tennessee Theatre Association State Champions (and scholarship winners) and was just recently named Outstanding Teacher in Tennessee by the Governor’s School for the Arts for the third time.
John has traveled with students to New York on numerous theatrical jaunts and most recently a theatre excursion to London. He is a member of the Tennessee Theatre Association and the Southeastern Theatre Conference and attends each organizations conference yearly in order to remain current and hip to all theatre trends, plays and techniques. John Lennon used his skills as an All-American and former 2 time state wrestling champion to help guide the Notre Dame High School wrestling team to 3 consecutive state championships.
John is excited to bring his energy, enthusiasm and passion to all his endeavors @ Signal Mountain Middle/High School.
