Teachers: Beverly Blackwell, Mac Henley

Physical Education is a course that can be taken either as a one-semester course of a full-year course.  There will be a different curriculum each nine weeks and may include the following:

1.    Outdoor Adventure (hiking, team work, low rope elements, and outdoor safety)

2.    Team Sports (football, soccer, softball, basketball and volleyball)

3.    Health & Fitness (circuit training, cardiovascular endurance, fitness testing and group fitness classes)

4.    Individual Sports (tumbling, tennis, golf, track, Frisbee)

Each section of the course will have a written and skills test.  There will be some health curriculum built in to the course.  In P.E. class, all students will be expected to work well in a group.  All students are required to purchase a P.E. uniform.  Shorts and shirts cost $6 each.  Students have the option to wear black shorts (length to finger-tips).  During outdoor activities, students are encouraged to bring their own water.
