SMMHS MISSION

Signal Mountain Middle/High School strives to develop socially responsible and engaged scholars who will positively impact their community, country, and world.

A Fond Farewell to our Graduates

The faculty and staff of SMMHS congratulates our latest graduates, the Class of 2012.  Like the first bricks laid on our building’s foundation, your class has been here from the ground up. Your class was here when this school opened, and a part of you will always remain with us—through the school culture, traditions, programs and community you leave behind. We're very proud of you and look forward to seeing what you accomplish in the future.  We love you, and we'll miss you!

We have exciting news, we are in the process of building concession and bathrooms at the SMMHS Stadium. In order to make this happen by this Fall we need your financial help. We plan to break ground in the next 2 weeks. Please download donation form and support our Eagles.

Middle School Summer Band!

The summer band program for all Signal Mountain Middle School band students will be held the weeks of July 16 and July 23, Monday through Thursday.  6th grade students that are new to band, will meet daily from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.  These 6th graders will need to report the first day of band camp with their instruments and the book “Tradition of Excellence” by Bruce Pearson.  Mr. Cirlot will be making a trip to both Nolan and Thrasher Elementary schools in May to test every fifth grader student for band.  Instrument recommendations will be made at that time, and information about how to acquire an instrument will be sent home with each student that is recommended for band.

7th and 8th grade students (or, any middle school band student with one year of band experience) will meet daily from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.   All students need to report the first day of the camp with their instruments.  If your student plays a school instrument, it will be assigned the first day.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Cirlot at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
