Safety
Parents of students at Signal Mountain Middle High,
In light of the recent tragic event at Sandy Hook Elementary School, we have reevaluated our school safety plan and will be implementing the following safety strategies beginning tomorrow in order to maintain a safe school environment for everyone:
1. The Middle School entrance will be locked after the tardy bell at 7:25AM. All students who get to school after 7:25AM must enter through the Main Entrance and see Kim Adams for a tardy slip. Afternoon dismissal will remain the same.
2. Dismissals during the school day will be handled in the Main Office.
3. All outside doors will be locked at 2:45PM. Students who remain in the building after 2:45PM must be supervised by a teacher, coach or parent.
Please remember that if you are in the building during school hours that you must stop by the main office to sign in and get a visitors pass.
Thank-you for your understanding and cooperation as we strive to continue the safe learning environment at Signal Mountain Middle High School.
